   Meet and get to know your counselor

   Get involved at school and with community activities (sports, clubs, UIL, community service)

   Create a portfolio – create your own or use the Bridges program at school (community service, awards, clubs, memberships, report cards)

   Verify your college and career interests align with your four year plan

   Discuss college possibilities with parents

   Attend College 101 night for parent and students

   At the end of the school year re-assess your 4 year plan to confirm your goals and interests align with your college and career plans
